Day 02. Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, and transfer to the hotel.
Day 03. Beijing
Full-day visit to the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven. Welcome dinner for guests.
Day 04. Beijing
Visit the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace in the world. Tour the spectacular Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace.
Day 05. Beijing / Xi'an
Fly to Xi'an and transfer to hotel. City tour includes Wild Goose Pagoda and City Wall. Welcome dinner for guests.
Day 06. Xi'an
Day tour to Terra Cotta Warriors, Bronze Chariots, Neolithic site of Banpo Vilage.
Day 07. Xi'an / Yichang / Wuhan
Fly to Wuhan. Embark on a luxury tour cruise ship and begin the Yangtze River cruise tour. The Three Gorges: the Wu, Xiling, and Qutang, are among China's most beautiful natural wonders. A river briefing by the cruise host will give you a keen sense of the history that flows along these legendary waterways. Enjoy a welcome party in the evening.
Day 08. Cruise
Arrive at Sandouping. A shore excursion to the construction site of the Three Gorges Dam, which is the largest irrigation construction project in China. Reboard for the evening.
Day 09. Cruise
A shore excursion to Wushan, 301 miles from Chongqing, where the Daning River meets the Yangtze River. As with the region's other tributaries, look for spectacular gorges here. A bus tour will reveal the area's great natural beauty, local farming and with luck, a glimpse of some wild monkeys. Reboard for the evening.
Day 10. Cruise
Arrive Wan Xian county or Shi Bao Zhai, where a shore excursion is arranged to visit these major trade centers famous for their bamboo and silk.
Day 11. Chongqing / Shanghai
Disembark Chongqing in the morning. City tour in Chongqing and transfer to Shanghai by air. Arrive in Shanghai and enjoy a free evening.
Day 12. Shanghai
Visit the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Museum and enjoy an evening of Shanghai acrobatics.
Day 13. Optional One-Day Tour: Suzhou
Suzhou is famous for its ancient gardens and silk. Visit a silk factory and watch how weavers spin raw silk from cocoons.
Day 14. Return flight home.
